This coastal modern farmhouse drew over 2500 visitors for the 2017 Fall Parade of Homes winning 4 awards for the top tier category: First place Best Decorated, First place Best Floorplan, Second place Best Interior Design and Second place Best Landscaping. The homeowner, an Interior Designer herself took inspiration from places like Muskoka Living Interiors (link) to design a special place for her family.
Creative touches such as a handpainted wall mural and wallpapered ceilings added a touch of whimsy while the built-in bunk beds in the kids’ bonus room/homeschool room were a huge hit. Downstairs the husband enjoys his “Gentlemen’s’ Whiskey Lounge” and the floor-to-ceiling shiplap walls were breathtaking as well. Other fun-yet-functional features include a desk-space for homework in the upstairs landing area using space creatively and allowing mom and dad to keep an eye on computer work and the posh dog shower in the garage complete with subway tile.
