It’s so fun when the custom homes we build take on the personalities of the families we build them for. That’s why we ask each family to name their new home when we host the slab signing parties for them. The Dunks family named their home Mustang Moonshine which fits them so well. They’re a fun-loving family of 4 who love to entertain their friends from Life Church and are always having a good time. From the first meeting with our Home Designer, the screened porch was a must-have. Megan grew up in Arkansas where she spent a lot of time on the screened porch as a kid. She especially loved the banging sound of the screened porch door. With the beautifully wooded acreage view, it seemed like such a perfect extended living room with a view!

Mustang Moonshine was designed around this busy family and their lifestyle too. Master bedroom downstairs plus a gorgeous study painted “Rainstorm” by Sherwin Williams. In the kitchen we love the white cabinets matched with the “Greens” painted island. The reclaimed trim throughout the home and vintage pantry door were hauled in from the homeowner’s grandad’s barn originally built in the 1950s. Those special antique touches leave a legacy with the home. Upstairs, a bonus room is framed with a huge custom chevron-patterned stained wood barn door. A “homework station” tucked away in the corner of the bonus room is perfect for desk chairs for their two daughters. The master bedroom features hardwood floors with his and her matching brass reading lamps. The master bathroom is truly a retreat with a claw foot tub and blue and white damask wallpaper.
